TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO ARREST
(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - An individual was arrested on the weekend following police receiving a traffic complaint.
On January 11, 2026, at approximately 8:15 pm, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint of a possible impaired driver on Argyle Street, Caledonia.
The vehicle was located, and the driver was taken into custody.
Ajay DHARMANA, 31-years-old of Caledonia has been charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Novice Driver - BAC Above Zero
- Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on March 10, 2026.
