TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE


(THAMES CENTRE, ON) - Driver charged with impaired after traffic complaint on Highway 401.

On November 15, 2025, at 7:27 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), were dispatched to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Elgin Road in the Municipality of Thames Centre for the report of a possible impaired driver.

The vehicle was located, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.  

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Aurora CASTILLO, a 74-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on January 5, 2026.
