TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES


(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after responding to a traffic complaint in the Township of Greater Madawaska.

On Friday, October 03, 2025, at approximately 7:20 pm, Renfrew OPP officers responded to multiple traffic complaints in the Township of Greater Madawaska. The subject vehicle was located, and officers investigated the complaints.

As a result of the investigation, Erik WIEDERMANN age 30 of Nepean was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired- drugs
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on November 5, 2025.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days, and their vehicle was impounded for seven days.
