TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES


(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) - The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a driver following a traffic complaint from a concerned member of the public.

On November 26, 2025, at approximately 10:10 pm, officers responded to a report of a suspected impaired driver near Bridge Street West and Grand Road in the Municipality of Trent Hills.

Police located and stopped a vehicle matching the description provided. After speaking with the driver, officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The individual was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.

Lindsay AUSTRUNG-WILSON (42) from Campbellford, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in January 2026.

A further 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and 7-day vehicle impoundment were imposed as per statute.
