(EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK, ON) - Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Oxford Detachment responded to a traffic complaint, resulting in one person being charged with impaired driving.

On June 23, 2025, at approximately 8:00 pm, members of Oxford OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Oxford Road 4 in East Zorra- Tavistock Township.  

As a result of the investigation, Paramjit WALIA, a 55-year-old resident of Woodstock, has been charged with:

• Operation While Impaired
• Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) 80 plus
• Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on July 29, 2025.
