TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO THE ARREST OF AN IMPAIRED DRIVER


(NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one individual with impaired driving following a traffic complaint in the Town of New Tecumseth.

Shortly after 12:00 pm on July 15, 2025, Nottawasaga OPP responded to a traffic complaint near Young Street in Essa Township. Witnesses reported that the driver appeared to be stumbling and unable to stand after exiting their vehicle in a business parking lot. Officers located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. Based on their observations, officers determined the driver was impaired and placed them under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, Fasiha KHAN 38-years-old of Brampton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

The accused is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on August 8, 2025, to answer to the charge.
