TRAFFIC COMPLAINT LEADS TO VEHICLE IMPOUND


(THUNDER BAY, ON) - On September 4th, 2025, at approximately 1:28 am, the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint along Highway 102, within the City of Thunder Bay.

Officers observed the motor vehicle driving 105km/hr in a posted 50km/hr & a traffic stop was initiated. As a result of the investigation, the vehicle has been impounded for 14-days.

A 38-year-old, of Maple, Ontario, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act & Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform stunt - Excessive speed
  • Driving while under suspension
  • Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance
