(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - An investigation conducted by officers from the Huron-Perth Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and offence-related property. A criminal charge has been laid against a Central Huron resident.

An investigation initiated in June 2025 by members of the Huron-Perth CSCU led investigators to an address in the Municipality of Central Huron.

On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, a traffic stop was conducted in the Township of Wilmot, Municipality of Waterloo which resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs and related property. One individual was arrested and charged. On Thursday, July 31, 2025, a search warrant was executed at an address in Central Huron.

A quantity of suspected cocaine was seized. The total value of the illegal drugs seized is estimated at $16,780. Additional offence-related property including a cellular phone seized by police totaled $1,000.

Dana TEED, 31 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:

• Possession of Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Kitchener on September 11, 2025.
