TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG CHARGE


(RENFREW, ON) - The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after conducting a traffic stop on Lochiel Street in the Town of Renfrew.

On Thursday, July 10, 2025, at approximately 1:00 pm, a Renfrew OPP officer observed an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) traveling on the roadway without a plate.  The ATV was later located on Lochiel Street in the Town of Renfrew and a traffic stop was conducted.

As a result of the investigation, Alexander HERBERT age 28 of Renfrew was charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance.

The accused was released and scheduled to attend the Pembroke Court of Justice on August 13, 2025.
