(LONDON, ON) - Traffic stop results in drug trafficking charges for driver.
On August 29, 2025, at 11:45 am, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Highway 401 at Highbury Avenue in the City of London, performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.
Investigation revealed the driver was suspended.
The driver was placed under arrest, at which time a quantity of illicit drugs, was located and seized.
As a result, Augustine GAYFLOR, a 35-year-old of North Dumfries, has been charged under the Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act and Controlled drugs and Substances Act with
- Poss of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000 - in Canada
- Driving while under suspension
- Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Poss of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Methamphetamine
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 17, 2025.
