(THAMES CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop.

On August 5, 2025, at 9:51 pm, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol on Veterans Memorial Parkway in the City of London, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Khaled NASO, a 42-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Liquor License Control Act with:

• Operation while impaired - alcohol
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Dangerous operation
• Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on September 24, 2025.
