(THAMES CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing impaired charge after traffic stop on Highway 401.

On September 13, 2025, at 10:12 pm, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401, the Municipality of Thames Centre, observed a suspicious vehicle, at which time a traffic stop was initiated.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment.

As a result, Margaret TEICHROEB, a 40-year-old of Norfolk County, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

• Operation while impaired - alcohol
• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on October 6, 2025.
