(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Driver facing Impaired driving charge after traffic stop.

On June 14, 2025, at 11:52 pm, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while travelling on Richmond Street in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre, performed a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Nicolas FRANCIS, a 25-year-old of Stratford, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

• Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
• Dangerous Operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 12, 2025.
