TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

(WASAGA BEACH, ON)  - The Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired driving related charges after an officer stopped a vehicle due to driving behavior.

On June 8, 2025, shortly after 4:00 am, Huronia West OPP officers were conducting traffic enforcement on Lyons Court in the town of Wasaga Beach. Officers stopped a vehicle after displaying poor driving behavior to speak with the driver. During the interaction, officers formed grounds that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol, leading to an arrest. As a result of the investigation, Jennette MORRIS, 57-year-old of Tiny Township, was arrested and has been charged with the following:

  • Adult Operation while Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Collingwood on August 28, 2025, to answer to the charge.
