TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO NO INSURANCE CHARGE


(LONDON, ON) - Traffic stop leads to no insurance charge.

On October 9, 2025, at 9:59 pm, a member of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while on general patrol, observed a suspicious vehicle travelling in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 near Veterans Memorial Parkway in the City of London.  

A traffic stop was initiated.

It was determined the vehicle was being operated without insurance.

A 52-year-old of Kitchener, has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with:

  • Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
  • Operate a motor vehicle without insurance

The driver is scheduled to appear in an Ontario Provincial Traffic Court to speak to the charges.
