TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO PROHIBITED DRIVER

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Bruce Peninsula resident with Prohibited Driving following a traffic stop on November 29, 2025. 

On Saturday, November 29, just before 2:00 am, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Rattenbury Street East in the Town of Clinton, Municipality of Central Huron.  

Officers confirmed that the male driver was prohibited from driving under the Criminal Code and was subsequently placed under arrest and taken into custody.

Joseph LEBLANC, 54 years-of-age from South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with:

  • Operation while Prohibited

The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for 45 days.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for January 05, 2026, at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
