TRAFFIC STOP ON HIGHWAY 402 LEADS TO CHARGES


(SARNIA, ON) - A traffic stop as part of Operation Safe Approach results in charges.

On August 24, 2025, shortly after 4:00 pm, members of Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team, conducted a traffic stop on a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) on Highway 402 westbound in Sarnia.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old of Brampton, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with the following offences:

  • Fail to properly record duty status changes
  • Unnecessary slow driving
