(KINCARDINE, ON) - On August 16, 2025, at approximately 4:28 pm, a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act violation along Lambton Street, Municipality of Kincardine.

During the interaction, the investigating officer detected signs of impairment from the driver. A roadside Approved Screening Device (A.S.D.) test was administered, which registered a fail. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest and transported for further testing.

Thomas HUDSON, 36-years-old, resident of Brockton, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - B.A.C. 80+, CC 320.14(1)(b)
  • Operation while prohibited, CC 320.18(1)(a)
  • Fail to properly wear seat belt, HTA 106(2)
  • Class G1 licence - unaccompanied by qualified driver, HTA O.Reg 340/94 5(1)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Court of Justice on September 17, 2025, to answer to the charge.
