(PUSLINCH TWP, ON) - A driver is facing five charges stemming from a traffic stop at a RIDE program.

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 4:00 am, the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program on Queen Street within Morriston.

During the initiative, a vehicle was stopped, and as a result of the investigation, David HACHEY, 38-year-old of Guelph, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Operation while prohibited - legal restriction from any other act of parliament or provincial law
  • Failure to comply with release order - other than to attend court
  • Driving while under suspension (two counts)

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
