TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN IMPAIRED CHARGE
(BLUEWATER, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a London resident with a criminal driving offence following a traffic stop in the Municipality of Bluewater on December 28, 2025.
In the early morning hours on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Huron County OPP officers stopped a vehicle on London Road in Bluewater. Police spoke to the vehicle driver and discovered that they had consumed alcohol prior to driving.
The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton where they provided breath samples before a qualified Intoxilyzer Breath Technician. Breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over twice the legal limit.

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days, and the accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on February 09, 2026.
