Two Arrested Following Execution of Search Warrant in Collingwood


(COLLINGWOOD, ON) - As a result of an ongoing police investigation, two individuals were arrested and a quantity of items seized after members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed a search warrant at a Collingwood residence on July 17, 2025.

Officers from the OPP Community Street Crime Units (CSCU) from the Collingwood and Huronia West Detachments executed the Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at an apartment in a multi-unit residential complex in Collingwood.

Two individuals were taken into custody at the scene. Investigators seized approximately 100 grams of suspected cocaine, Canadian currency totaling $1,115, and other items associated with drug trafficking.

As a result of the investigation, Chloe MCNEIL, aged 21, and Shawn TAYLOR aged 25, both of Collingwood, have been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

Both individuals were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on September 16, 2025.
