TWO ARRESTED FOR INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE
(SOUTHERN BRUCE COUNTY, ON) - On the evening of December 3, 2025, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to two separate incidents of intimate partner violence resulting in arrests.
At approximately 9:18 pm, police responded to a disturbance between intimate partners at a residence in Walkerton, where it is alleged that an assault occurred.
A 62-year-old resident of Brockton was charged with:
- Assault with a weapon, CC 267(a)
- Mischief, CC 430(1)(a)
The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.
At approximately 10:36 pm, police responded to another altercation between intimate partners in Arran-Elderslie, where it is alleged that an assault occurred.
A 50-year-old resident of Arran-Elderslie was charged with:
- Assault, CC 266 - three counts
- Uttering threats, CC 264.1(1)(a)
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing at the Walkerton Ontario Court of Justice and subsequently released from custody. They are set to reappear at a later date.
