(IROQUOIS FALLS, ON)- The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) respond to two separate calls resulting in the same person being charged with Criminal Code offences.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at approximately 11:30 pm, the Iroquois Falls OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 67, in Iroquois Falls, where police suspected the driver was under the influence of drugs. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

While in custody, the Iroquois Falls OPP responded to an assault, on Edward Street, in Holtyre.

As a result of both investigations, Nicholas GREGG, 73 years-old, of Iroquois Falls was arrested and charged for following:

  • Operation while impaired - drugs
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - two counts

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on Thursday, September 11, 2025.
