TWO CHARGED IN BREAK-AND-ENTER INVESTIGATION


(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals have been charged following a break-and-enter investigation in Port Dover.

At approximately 7:31 pm on Friday, July 4, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a residence Chapman Street East in Port Dover.

The investigation revealed that two individuals had unlawfully entered the home and then left the area in a vehicle.

One suspect was later located by officers on Patterson Street in Simcoe, and the second was located the following day on Regent Avenue in Port Dover. Both were taken into custody without incident.  

As a result, 26-year-old Chantel MARGETAN and 24-year-old Lily KOPCZYK, both residents of Norfolk County, have been charged with the following alleged offence:

  • Break, enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence

The accused individuals are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
