(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Two individuals have been charged following separate investigations into incidents of intimate partner violence.
At approximately 10:39 am on Friday, July 18, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault at a Norfolk County address.
Through investigation, it was determined that two individuals became involved in an interaction on the premises, during which one assaulted the other, causing minor injuries. The suspect also damaged the victim’s property during the course of the incident.
As a result, a 28-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Assault, - Mischief under $5,000, - Fail to comply with Probation Order, - Failure to comply with Undertaking - two counts
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
At approximately 4:46 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025, the Norfolk County OPP responded to a report of a threats-related incident at a Norfolk County address.
The investigation determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside a residence, during which one threatened the other. The suspect also damaged the victim’s property during the course of the incident.
As a result, an 18-year-old resident of Norfolk County was arrested and charged with the following alleged offences:
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm - two counts, - Mischief under $5,000
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe at a later date.
