(WEST NIPISSING, ON) - Police arrested and charged two people with possession of stolen property after the execution of two search warrants.

On Wednesday May 7, 2025, members from the Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Nipissing West OPP Detachment, executed two search warrants at residences on Dupras Road and Highway 539, West Nipissing.

A search of the properties recovered a dump trailer and a Lynx excavator, with a total estimated recovered value of $35,000.

As a result of the investigation, Yves LAROCQUE, 61-years-of-age, and Nicolas St. GERMAIN-RAYAN, 26-years-of-age, both from West Nipissing were arrested and charged with, possession property obtained by crime over $5,000 and mischief under $5,000.

Both accused were released and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday July 3, 2024, in North Bay.
