(NORTH DUNDAS TOWNSHIP, ON) - Two people face charges after a drug seizure in South Mountain.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment began an investigation earlier this month into drug trafficking in the area. 

On Monday, January 12, 2026, officers with CSCU, assisted by members of the SD&G OPP, the SD&G Crime Unit and the OPP Canine Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Maple Street.

Two people were arrested at the scene and officers seized quantities of suspected cocaine and crack cocaine, as well as a sword, cash and multiple cell phones.

Catherine HILL, age 71 of North Dundas Township, has been charged with:

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - two counts
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

This accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on March 10, 2026.

Shayne HILL, age 36 of North Dundas Township, has been charged with six counts of failing to comply with a probation order. This accused also faces numerous outstanding charges in connection with separate investigations, including:

  • Traffick in a Schedule 1 substance - cocaine
  • Assault
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Sexual assault
  • Theft under $5000
  • Mischief under $5000 - two counts

This accused was remanded in custody with an appearance scheduled before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on January 23, 2026.
