(BANCROFT, ON) - Members of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two people and seized multiple types of drugs from the streets of Bancroft.
On Monday, June 30, 2025, shortly after 8:00 pm, officers conducting general patrol in the town of Bancroft. While on patrol officers recognized someone who had been trespassed from a property in the downtown area. During the investigation two people were arrested and during a search incident to arrest suspected fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, and methamphetamine were located.
Allen ROY, 47 of Bancroft has been charged with the four counts of trafficking a schedule I substance.
Adam COLLINS, 39 of Bancroft has been charged with three counts of possession of a schedule I substance and fail to comply with a probation order
ROY was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on July 4, 2025. COLLINS was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on August 5, 2025.
