Youth Facing Charges
(PETAWAWA, ON) - The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges against a youth after a break, enter and theft at business on Petawawa Boulevard in the Town of Petawawa.
On December 13, 2025, at approximately 2:00 am, police responded to an alarm at the business and found evidence of forced entry and theft. A quantity of vapes were stolen from the store and an OPP Scenes of Crime Officer (SOCO) was engaged to assist with the investigation.
As a result of this investigation police have charged a 12-year-old from Petawawa with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Break and enter
- Theft under $5000 - three counts
The youth was released to a parent, and the accused will appear in Youth Court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke at a later date.
An 11-year-old youth was also identified as being involved but was not charged as they are below the age of criminal responsibility.
