COLLISION CLOSES HIGHWAY

Intersection Remains Closed - Unknown Time of Reopening

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - OPP respond to a motor-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pick-up truck, causing the intersection to be closed and sending one individual to a trauma centre.

On July 2, 2025, at approximately 8:15 am, the Wellington County OPP, alongside local emergency services, were dispatched to a serious collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck, resulting the intersection of Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 West / East being closed.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the pick-up truck sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a trauma centre. Extent of the injuries are currently unknown.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team has been contacted and have been assisting the Wellington County OPP with the investigation.
