Occupants located, charges laid
(BROCKTON, ON) - The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid charges following a fail to remain collision outside of Walkerton.
On July 16, 2025, at approximately 2:55 pm, police received a report of a collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Concession 2 and Sideroad 5 Greenock in the Municipality of Brockton. Two occupants from an involved vehicle fled the scene on foot. Due to a tip from a member of the public, they were subsequently located.
As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old motorist from Huron-Kinloss has been charged with:
- Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)
- Disobey stop sign, HTA 136(1)(a)
- Fail to remain, HTA 200(1)(a)
- Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, CAIA 2(1)(a)
The passenger was also placed under arrest due to an outstanding warrant and returned to the originating service.
