(NORTH BAY, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is hosting an in-person information session for individuals interested in a rewarding career as a 911 Communications Operator at the North Bay Provincial Communication Centre (PCC).
The Event will now be held at lecture theatre H105, at Nipissing University. Attendees can use the main entrance, where they will see signage directing them to the lecture hall. Parking will be the main lot at the front as well.
This Dispatcher Recruitment Open House will take place on:

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet directly with OPP emergency dispatchers and recruitment staff to learn more about the role, the hiring process, and the unique challenges and rewards of working in public safety communications.
Communications Operators are the first point of contact between the public and the OPP. They play a vital role in supporting frontline officers and ensuring public safety. Working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, dispatchers handle emergency and non-emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and coordinate police response across Ontario.
The role of a Communications Operator with the OPP offers a competitive starting wage of $43.22 per hour and requires availability for all shifts, as the Provincial Communications Centres operate 24/7/365.
