-UPDATE #1- INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES
Change of Location
(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - The Wellington County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person with multiple criminal offences following an intimate partner dispute.
On October 5, 2025, at approximately 1:30 pm, members of the Wellington OPP responded to a disturbance at a residence in Mount Forest.
As a result of the investigation, 41-year-old from Mount Forest, has been charged under the Criminal Code with:
- Assault - Spousal
- Mischief - Domestic
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph at a later date.
The OPP will not release names to protect the identity of the victim(s).
