-UPDATE #1- OPP ARREST FOUR PEOPLE AT A TRAFFIC STOP

(QUINTE WEST, ON) - Four people have been arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 401.
On Sunday, August 11, 2025, at approximately 9:00 am, the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 401 between Highway 33 and Glen Miller Road in Quinte West.
With the assistance of the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, the Quinty West OPP Crime Unit and the OPP Canine, police seized over a kilogram of suspected cocaine, an amount of suspected cannabis and Percocet with an estimated street value of approximately $114,000. Police also seized over $7,500 in Canadian currency.
As a result of the investigation, four people have been arrested and charged.
Justin CORONA, 23 years-old, of Nepean has been charged with the following:
- Obstruct peace officer
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Operation while impaired - drugs
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Flight from peace officer
- Possession of 30g dried cannabis in a public place
- Drive with window coated - obstructed view
- Drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
Lee BAUTISTA, 24 years-old and Fercival GARCIA, 27 years-old, of Gloucester have both been charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Obstruct peace officer
Hassan ABDULLAH, 32 years-old, of Gloucester has been charged with the following:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
The accused remain in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
