-UPDATE #1- OPP INVESTIGATE SERIOUS COLLISION IN WHEATLEY

Road Reopened

(WHEATLEY, ON) - Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have reopened Erie Street South between Hickson Road and Deer Run Road following a single-vehicle collision that occurred on June 27, 2025.

The road was closed for approximately five hours to allow for investigation by members of the Essex County OPP and the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) team.

One individual was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The investigation remains ongoing.
