One Person Arrested and Charged
(PICTON, ON) - One person has been charged after an armed robbery and vehicle theft at a Picton gas station.
On Saturday, November 22, 2025, shortly before 1:30 am, officers with the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a reported robbery at a gas station in Picton. The masked individual, allegedly armed with a handgun, fled the scene in a stolen vehicle.
Numerous resources were deployed to ensure public safety while actively searching for the individual and the vehicle involved. Coordinated efforts by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Units, Forensic Identification Services and Prince Edward County OPP Crime Unit resulted in the successful identification, and arrest, of an individual.
Dylan BARSLEY, age 22 of Picton, has been charged with:
- Robbery using firearm (restricted or prohibited)
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Disguise with intent
- Dangerous operation
- Flight from peace officer - two counts
- Failure to comply with release order - two counts
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville for a bail hearing.
