Involved Driver Charged

(HURON EAST, ON) - A vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Main Street in the Municipality of Huron East (Seaforth) claimed the life of a 77-year-old Huron East resident on August 22, 2025. 

Emergency services located a pedestrian that had sustained life threatening injuries. They were transported to a local hospital where they succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the involved pickup truck remained at the scene.

The deceased was a 77-year-old resident of Huron East. 

As a result of the investigation, the involved vehicle driver from Huron East has been charged with the following offence:

Candis HULLEY, 40 years-of-age has been charged with:

• Careless Driving Cause Death - Section 130(3) of the Highway Traffic Act

The accused is scheduled for an appearance in the Goderich Provincial Offences Court to answer to the charge.
