-UPDATE #1- OPP INVESTIGATING SUSPICIOUS DEATH IN ADJALA-TOSORONTIO

One Person Arrested, Police Appeal for Further Information 

(ADJALA-TOSORONTIO, ON)  - Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest in connection with an ongoing death investigation, and police continue to appeal to the public for information.

On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 5:20 pm, officers responded to a call for service at a residence on Sparrow Way. One individual, a 41-year-old female, was found deceased.

On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Ranjit CHEEMA, 44-years-old of Adjala-Tosorontio, was arrested and charged with second degree murder, contrary to section 235(1) of the Criminal Code.

 The investigation remains ongoing and is being conducted by the Nottawasaga OPP Crime Unit under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
