-Update 1- THEFT OF TRACTOR BEING INVESTIGATED

(OTONABEE-SOUTH MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a theft of a tractor from a business on Highway 7.

On Friday November 21, 2025, a Peterborough County OPP officer was dispatched to a report of a tractor that had been stolen from a location at Highway 7 just east of Highway 28 in the township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. The tractor, a 2013 John Deere 5083 (VIN# 1LV5083EADY541163) with a bright orange ‘quick attach’ on the rear and loading forks on the front, was stored at a location with various other construction equipment. The value of the tractor is estimated at approximately $60,000.

The tractor was last seen at approximately 5:15pm on Thursday November 20, 2025, and was noticed missing at approximately 6:30am this morning.
