Accused arrested

(MOOSONEE, ON) - Seikon SACKANEY was arrested on Friday October 3, 2025, in Moose Factory.

The charges laid against the accused stem from an investigation into a firearms incident that occurred on April 12, 2025, in Moosonee, where a firearm was discharged into a residence on Bert Trapper Drive. That incident previously led to the arrest of another individual and the execution of a warrant in Moose Factory.

As a result of the investigation, the accused remains in custody and is facing the following charges:

• Carry firearm in a careless manner
• Careless use of a firearm
• Use firearm while committing an offence
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
• Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
• Possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose
• Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
• Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
• Possession of a firearm obtained by crime
• Transfer firearm without authority
• Discharge a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner
• Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
• Mischief under $5000
• Intimidation - use or threatens use of violence
• Criminal harassment - threatening conduct
• Accessory after the fact to commit indictable offence
