-UPDATE #2- COLLISION CAUSES ROAD CLOSURE ON HIGHWAY 401
Charge Laid
(TECUMSEH, ON) - The Tecumseh Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a three-vehicle collision on Highway 401 in Tecumseh.
On July 4, 2025, at approximately 10:43 am, emergency services including members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services, Tecumseh Fire and Rescue Services, attended Highway 401 in Tecumseh for a three-vehicle collision.
One driver was transported to hospital in ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, one driver was transported to hospital with via ambulance with serious injuries and the other driver was uninjured.
Ornge Air Ambulance attended but was not used for transport.
Highway 401 is now re-opened.
As a result of the investigation, Komal BALRAM, 22-years-old of BRAMPTON, was charged with the following Criminal Code offence:
- Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on August 26, 2025, to answer to the charge.
