COLLISION CLOSES HIGHWAY

Roads Reopened - Investigation Continuing

(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP, ON) - OPP respond to a motor-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pick-up truck, causing the intersection to be closed and sending one individual to a trauma centre.

On July 2, 2025, at approximately 8:15 am, the Wellington County OPP, alongside local emergency services, were dispatched to a serious collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck, resulting in the intersection of Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 West / East being closed.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the pick-up truck sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a trauma centre, where the driver remains in critical, yet non-life-threatening condition.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team was contacted and was assisting the Wellington County OPP with the investigation.

Roads have since been reopened, and the investigation is still ongoing.
