All Lanes Have Reopened

(ORO-MEDONTE, ON) - All lanes on Highway 11 between Line 7 and Line 10 have reopened in Oro-Medonte, following a single-vehicle collision yesterday that resulted in a diesel spill and damaged guardrail. Crews have completed the necessary repairs and cleanup.

On Friday, July 25, 2025, at approximately 12:00 pm, members of the Orillia Detachment were notified of a collision involving a transport truck which experienced a tire blowout, causing the driver to lose control. No injuries were reported. An investigation of the incident, cleanup of the spill and roadway repairs were initiated.

The highway was fully closed in both directions for approximately four hours, followed by restricted lanes in both directions. During that time, drivers were encouraged to use alternate routes and advised to expect traffic delays.
