-UPDATE #2- OPP INVESTIGATING COLLISION ON WELLINGTON ROAD 21

Roadway Reopened

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) - Wellington Road 21 has reopened following a two-vehicle collision yesterday.

On October 15, 2025, at approximately 10:45 am, the Wellington OPP, along with local emergency services were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a tractor trailer at the intersection of Wellington Road 21 and Eighth Line in Centre Wellington Township, South of Inverhaugh.

The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital with minor non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was assessed on scene and did not sustain any reported injuries. Eighth

As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old from Acton, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Careless Driving

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph, at a later date.

The intersection of Wellington Road 21 and Eighth Line in Centre Wellington Township was closed but has since reopened.
