-UPDATE #3- HIGHWAY CLOSED FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

Charge Laid

(BROCKTON, ON) - On March 7, 2025, at approximately 7:50 am, the South Bruce and Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the Arran-Elderslie Fire Department, and Bruce County Paramedic Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on the Grey Bruce Line between Concession 2 and Concession 4, Municipality of Arran-Elderslie.

A 28-year-old pedestrian from Aurora was transported to a trauma centre with life threatening injuries.

After a thorough investigation by the South Bruce OPP, West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team, with assistance from the Ministry of Labour, a 21-year-old resident of Owen Sound has been charged with:

  • Careless driving causing bodily harm, HTA 130(3)

The accused is set to appear at the Walkerton Ontario Provincial Offences Court on October 7, 2025, to answer to the charge.
