OPP Continues to Seek Public Assistance
(MOOSE CREE FIRST NATION, ON) - On the second anniversary of Loni CHUM’s tragic death, the James Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) are urging anyone with information to come forward.
On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, 21-year-old Loni CHUM was located deceased on Jaban Street in Moose Factory, Moose Cree First Nation. Police believe she was struck by a pickup truck at approximately 3:00 am on Thursday, November 7, 2023.
A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the death of Loni CHUM. This reward reflects the combined contributions of the Government of Ontario and Moose Cree First Nation leadership, who remain dedicated in their support to uncover the truth.
