-UPDATE #1- OPP INVESTIGATE A SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON)  - An individual who sustained life threatening injuries following a collision in the Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich has succumbed to her injuries in hospital.

On July 2, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm, members of the Elgin detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Elgin-St. Thomas Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Dutton-Dunwich Fire Department, responded to a collision between a cyclist and a passenger vehicle on Shackleton Line between Willey Rd and McArthur Street.

The Elgin OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
