SERIOUS COLLISION CAUSES ROAD CLOSURE IN COLCHESTER

Road is now open

(ESSEX, ON) - The Essex Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a single motor vehicle collision on Bell Road in Colchester.

On November 26, 2025, at approximately 4:50 pm, emergency services including members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Services, and the Essex Fire and Rescue Services attended Bell Road for a single motor vehicle collision.

The 42-year-old driver from Essex was transported to hospital in ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by Essex OPP with the assistance of West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team.

Bell Road between Gore Road and County Road 50 East in the Colchester area of Essex is now open.
