VEHICLE COLLIDES WITH BUILDING IN KOMOKA


(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) - Driver charged with Impaired after vehicle collides with a building in Komoka.

On July 8, 2025, at 1:58 pm, members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Middlesex London Paramedic Service and Middlesex Centre Fire were dispatched to a business at 100 Duke Street in Komoka, Municipality of Middlesex Centre, for the report of a vehicle that had collided with a building.

Employees were in the building at the time, however no injuries were reported.

The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Middlesex OPP Detachment.

As a result, Ernie MCLACHLAN, a 69-year-old of Komoka has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Dangerous operation

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on August 27, 2025.
