VEHICLE IN DITCH LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE

(EAST-ZORRA TAVISTOCK, ON)  - An individual from Fort Erie is facing an impaired charge following a traffic complaint.

On December 9, 2025, at approximately 5:30 pm, the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver, on 16th Line, in the Township of East-Zorra Tavistock. It was reported that a vehicle was in the ditch and was being attended to by a tow truck operator. Officers attended and subsequently located the vehicle.

Denis Postol, 36-years-old, of Fort Erie, has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on January 20, 2026.
